Petrozavodsk State University is the largest university in the Republic of Karelia. Apart from Petrozavodsk, the university has branches also in Sortavala, Kostamuksha, Belomorsk and Apatity. The university has 13 faculties and several other education and research related centres.
Philological Faculty of the Petrozavodsk State University
The Philological Faculty of the Petrozavodsk State University is the major centre educating students in Russian and foreign linguistics. Apart from Russian language and literature a student can study there also German and general philology, and Scandinavian languages.
